Randy Work is not a special earner

Mr Work’s attempt to get more of the matrimonial assets from his failed marriage misfired last week at the Supreme Court.

The starting point for any division of matrimonial assets is 50/50 according to White v White in the House of Lords decision in Oct 2000.

Chris Hohn’s High Court settlement in 2004 gave him more assets than his wife. However when you examine how he made their fortune then you can see that his contribution to the marriage pot was quite exceptional. It was certainly bigger than Mr Works!

Mrs Hohn chose not to argue the matter to higher Courts.

If you getting divorced argue for a minimum of 50% of the assets including pensions. If are divorced and haven’t had 50% get in touch with us now!
