I am currently in a Divorce case with my husband who has just recently left the marital home, is expecting a baby from his girlfirend in the USA and as forced me to sign Divorce papers under extreme pressure, lies and deception.

I recently found a Petition against me, explaining my flaws and so many lies about my character. I was also told by the courts that they had sent out an application for me to sign which i believe he had opened and only produced the court application with allowing me to read the supporting documents available to Respondents.

This extreme manipulation as been carefully constructed since he had received his Naturalization and UK passport in April 2018, his behaviour changed toward my and i discovered that he had been contacting females via facebook medium, then travelling to USA in August and getting a woman pregnant.

I believe the petition as been falsified and is covered in lies and deception, before i regretfully signed. I would like to prevent the process of the petition and have it stopped.

My father in law passed away three weeks before my decree absolute.
Although it was common knowledge prior to his demise that my ex husband would inherit a substantial amount, he announced that his sister had influenced his late father into excluding him from the will and any monies received would be limited and at her discretion. However, his lifestyle and spending habits would not support this.
After many months of him neglecting our youngest child (now 15) I had no option but to return to the family home to care for my son. This has had a terrible effect on my health; I lost my job due to the amount of sick leave taken. The premises has been badly neglected and I have been left with considerable rent arrears.
I have been (tentatively) advised that I should be entitled to some of the funds received by my ex-husband; this would benefit my son so much. However I am dependent on benefits and house bound due to ill health so obviously would not be able to afford legal costs.
Any advice you can give would be appreciated.

During our divorce, funded through legal aid, my husband agreed on pension sharing. Now the divorce is complete he ignores all correspondence, which is usually sent to his parents as he withholds his address. His wealthy parents claim not to receive the mail either.
It is a police pension he cannot access yet but is worth approximately £187000, of which I am entitled to half.
My legal aid funded solicitors say they cannot do anything unless he responds to letters and want to cost and close.
    Help!!

Please can you call me so we can see what we can do for you. Getting a pension share doesn’t need the solicitor to sign a document as the court does that for you.

I signed over my house when we separated as I had kids and didn”t want them to lose their home. I did this with a verbal agreement that I would pay no maintenance for my kids. Now 5 years on I have received an order for maintanence from the csa. I could have taken about £30,000 from the house I believe. Can you help?

We are not lawyers but is is not unknown for the courts to award part of house to each party and child maintenance. You need to consult a solicitor.

You should consult a solicitor and ensure that you don’t grant him a divorce unless he makes a financial settlement in your favour.

I am a UK citizen and I live in New zealand. I separated from my husband and as I worked and he didn’t the children remained with him. There was a history of psychological abuse which became worse over time to the point that he terrified me and influenced my children against me although I know the youngest daughter does want contact. 18 months ago I was informed the house in nz was on the market and subsequently sold. I contacted my ex and was told they would be renting in town. Imagine my shock when I found out via my middle daughters instagram account that he has taken the children to the UK. I need a good lawyer to help me regain contact with my children and gain a financial settlement.

You should contact a local solicitor and ask then to apply for a section 22ZA order whereby your other half will have to pay the lawyers bills. Regards Tony
